The property forms part of an existing Roadstone facility which is located on the southern side of the N15 approx. 1km southwest of Laghy village in south Donegal. The entrance to the site is located opposite the Circle K premises with direct access on to the R232 to Pettigo road on the border with Northern Ireland.

Laghy is approx. 6 km southwest of Donegal Town and approx. 25 km west of the border with Northern Ireland.

The population of Laghy was 176 persons in the 2022 Census. Its immediate surroundings are a rural hinterland mainly in agricultural use with one-off residential private housing. Laghy village is located near Donegal Bay, providing access to the Atlantic coastline
